In The Polar Express, the protagonist encounters a young girl, aged between 10-13, during his journey to the North Pole. She wears pink pyjamas and has braided pigtails. As the story unfolds, she becomes an important character who helps the other children on the train restore their faith in Christmas. Her kindness and courage make her a fan favorite.
Early on in the movie, she shows her bravery by standing up for Hero Boy when he is scolded by the conductor for stopping the train to help Billy. She defends Hero Boy, stating that he was trying to help someone else. She also demonstrates her caring nature by giving an extra cup of hot chocolate to Billy.
Throughout the rest of the film, she proves to be intelligent and capable. She even takes charge of driving the train at one point. Her unwavering belief in the spirit of Christmas guides Hero Boy and Billy to safety when they become lost in the tunnels.
Hero Girl is a great role model for children. Her courage, determination, and kindness set an excellent example for all of us.
